Chairman Wan Jifei leads a business delegation attending the Sino-Egyptian Joint Business Council Business Forum 
 
On December 25, Chairman Wan Jifei led the Chinese business delegation attending the Sino-Egyptian Joint Business Council Business Forum co-hosted by the CCPIT and the Sino-Egyptian Business Council in Cairo, Egypt. Chinese vice Premier Li Keqiang who was on a visit to Egypt attended the forum and addressed the opening ceremony.

Vice Premier Li Keqiang said the negative impact of the global financial spreads, shifting from the financial field to the real economies. The Chinese government has taken various measures to stimulate economy and enlarge domestic consumption in order to maintain a stable economic growth. He also urged the China and Egypt to tap the market potential of each other in a bid to maintain world economic and financial stability.

The vice premier also said China attaches great importance to the issue of trade imbalance between the two countries and China will support its enterprises with strong capabilities, good reputation and promising growth prospects to invest and open businesses in Egypt, and will also provide convenience for business activities of Egyptian enterprises in China.

He finally emphasized that China is ready to make joint efforts with the Egyptian side to further enrich and push forward the new-type China-Africa strategic partnership and China-Arab partnership, for making greater contributions to the unity, cooperation and the prosperity and development among developing countries.

In his speech, Chairman Wan Jifei said the CCPIT will continually make vigorous efforts to the communication and cooperation between business communities of China and Egypt and welcomed the Egyptian entrepreneurs to attend the 3rd China-Arab Cooperation Forum Business Conference to be held in China and the 3rd China-Africa Cooperation Forum Business Conference to be held in Egypt in 2009.

Also attending and addressing the forum were vice minister Gao Hucheng of China’s Ministry of Commerce and Mr. Muhyiddin, Minister of Investment of Egypt. Mr. Qu Wenchu, Chinese President of the Sino-Egyptian Joint Business Council and Senior Vice President of the Huawei Group .Over 400 entrepreneurs from China and Egypt attended the forum and carried out match-making talks.

The forum was jointly organized by the CCPIT, the Sino-Egyptian Joint Business Council, the Bureau of Investment of Egypt and the Egyptian Trade Agency and sponsored by the Ministry of Commerce of China and the Ministry of Investment of Egypt.
