<1>Certificate of Force Majeure
The CCPIT has been issuing certificates of force majeure since the early
1950s, which are applied by Chinese parties to contracts who have encountered
unexpected events such as fires, explosions, or earthquakes and want to
be exempt from performing the contracts.
The certificates of force majeure issued by the CCPIT/CCOIC which have
won authority and reputation internatinally, are prepared by experienced
legal experts together with experts in the special fields concerned on
the basis of facts and fairness, using the law as the criterion.
